I need to understand

My new job was great, I worked from home now so had no travel expenses and could chat all day long. I was the new moderator in the new bingo chat room. I never got to play bingo as that wasn't allowed but made some great friends.

You see, it was my sisters business. I had been involved right from the start as I was always on instant messenger or in a chat room somewhere so she thought I would be ideal. She's right, to talk and get paid for it, great! The website development was a little tricky, but with a little expertise help, we soon got it done.

Think a moderator job is easy, think again. I cant believe how many nasty people you can get online and I had to keep things calm. As this was a new site, I had to manage every chat room on the site, then hopefully as we made more money we could employ another moderator so you only have one chat room at a time to contain.

I found that it was certain people who would just make a nasty comment and then everything would go mad, all users would be shouting and getting annoyed saying that they wouldn't use the site again so we updated our site.

We implemented private messenger so if somebody wanted to talk privately they could without fear of any backlash. We also implemented a fifteen minute time out rule so if I thought somebody was out of order I would warn them on messenger privately, then if they continued I would kick them out of the chat rooms for fifteen minutes but make this public so everybody knew.

This seemed to work and our site was doing really well, we found more people to moderate which meant I could spend time marketing the site to new users. Our plan was to make it the biggest, best bingo site we could. The reviews we could it the papers were great and when we went in one national paper with an advert, things really took off. We are now the biggest site to play bingo on.
