I need to understand

I was out at my local pub with my two mates, John and Smith, who i have known since the start high school. We were sitting down and having a couple of beers while talking about our jobs which lead to income which lead to how much and who earned the most each year. Who obviously was me as i was a real estate agent. John,is a web designer and Smith is a person who actually owns a webdesigner company. We started to chat about earning extra cash online. John and Smith said they had started a forum online and they earned at least fifty dollars online from just hosting a website. This got me interested. They suggested i give it a go, though i have no experience what so ever with it. They asked if i needed any assistants withmy website development but foolishly, i denied their offer as i thought i would be able to do it myself. After we finished our long conversation about starting a forum, i decided to head home and try it out. Although it was already later, just past midnight, i made coffee which seemed to do the trick. I got myself started and attempted to create my own website. Failing several times, i gave up and decided to try and hire a web designer or two. I decided to surf the web for a professional only to find a pop-up or two popping up every time i click on a site to look at. As i attempt to continue to surf the web with annoying pop-ups, it eventually reached almost two hours passed midnight. I decided tonot surf the web anymore so i went to get some sleep giving up, but before i could turn off the computer, a pop-upcame up saying 'JOE THE web designer WILL DEVELOP YOUR WEBSITE AT LOW COST'. This got me quite excited. I phoned the number on the pop-up to find that he would design my web in less than a day for only $10. I payed through the net and went to bed, sleeping soundly. I awoke in the morning to find my site, done and finished with heaps of people on it. After a few months, I had earned almost $200. I was excited and continued from there on.
