My boss must hate my guts, he gave me the job of setting up 10 brand new computers he just purchased for the business. The problem is I have no idea how to set up a the computers much less put them all on the same network. It's true that I work with online companies helping them do some website designing and I also do a lot of marketing for the business but none if this makes me a computer expert. I think he is just doing this so I can fail and give him an excuse to fire me.

So far I have connected them all and have them up and running. They all come with internet explorer but he wants me to download a better browser so I have to do each one by one. He said it would be easier if I network them first but I have no clue how that is done. I guess once they are all in one network I can just upload all program on the main server and allthe computers get it done at the same time.

I am also having a hard time connecting them all to the internet at once. When I step away from one can come back I find that it's already off-line. Why can't they all be on at the same time? I think heshould let us keep the internet explorer, all I am doing is wasting precious time and energy. After all internet explorer is the most popular browser and it's always worked fine for me.

This is not working, again they are each going off-line when I log into another one. Obviously this is a job for an IT expert or someone else, just not me. If I can't even keep the computers from going off-line what makes him think I can set up the network. I am just going to have to tell him I can't do it and if he wants to get mad so be it. It is not in my job description to take care of the companies computers so I should not have to worry about it. Wish me luck!
