I had always been kind of computer savy, and had always wanted the best the internet could offer me. From comparisons between internet browsers, like 'Internet Explorer' and 'Firefox', to comparisons between smaller instant messaging services like 'AOL messenger' to 'Windows Live Messenger.' I had to have the best.

Then one day when I was checking my email, a pop-up came up. Now as most internet users will know, pretty much every pop-up you see will be a scam, or sound too good to be true, and will be. But this one was different. This pop-up promised a free vacation give-away, all you needed to do was do the booking on-line and bam! You'd get it. I was ecstatic. So I clicked on the ad.

The website page seemed to promise everything the ad had promised... but then I realized there was no link for booking on-line. I wasn't sure what this meant so i went on messenger and messaged my friend Dianne about it hoping she could help me. She herself could see no way to get to an area where you could do the booking on-line to get a free vacation.

I instantly got really frustrated! I knew most of those things were a scam but I really wanted to go to Hawaii. I tried everything hoping that link would suddenly appear out of nowhere. I restarted the internet explorer, i restarted my computer, i even tried to re-route my cords. To no prevail. The offer must have been a scam to just get traffic on their site.

I now know that you don't get anything for free. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. Now I am pretty happy it didn't work, because I might have been foolish enough to put my credit card information in that site for a 'free vacation', and who knows what could have happened then.

The lesson I learned was earn what you want. Not only will it be completely guaranteed, but you'll feel better for earning it yourself. It will be a more rewarding experience.
