*Beep* the computer monitor turned on. I opened internet explorer to find some directions to shrewsbury from clacton. I typed into google 'map'. I was overwhelmed with the web site responses. Hundreds flocked in offering me different choices, I had to make sure the web site I chose did not have a virus as I have had bad past experiences with these in the past..
I clicked on the third website down, opening the screen it asked me to input some data. I entered my destination and where I was travelling from. The bright white light suddenly became filled with black marks upon the screen giving me directions. 'take first left' 'plan to re-route steps 1 and 2 if problems occur'. This weekend was going to be great. I was to attend my sisters wedding and the invitation was for a plus one.. but I did not have a plus one. My sister informed me of some dating on-line sites so I figured I would give it a go.
As I entered the homepage (google) I suddenly felt my heart beating quicker. I was nervous. Petrified. "dating on-line, what am I thinking" I said. I typed into google 'dating on-line'. Thousands of results appeared on my screen with marks next to them letting me know if the web site has or has previously had a virus. The first web site seemed to be perfectly ok and virus free. I moved my mouse over the URL address and clicked twice. My page began to load and my eyes were fixed onto the screen, I had froze. The web page appeared and I clicked the button join now. It asked me a few personal details and to input in the 'looking for' section. I wrote.. young female, blonde hair, blue eyes.. looking for a man with simular looks for a night of fun as a plus one to my sisters wedding. Before I knew it I had clicked the SEND button. 10 minutes later.. "Right, I knew it! I knew no one would be interested" I shouted.. I shouldnt have bothered.. 1 hour later..
